How to stain thick film with Giemsa stain. Compare with other Plasmodium spp. (research) and Plasmodium vivax (research) slides which have been prepared using different staining methods to determine the best method to diagnose the parasite infection. It is best to make the smears from native blood (ie. without anti-coagulant) as anticoagulant can distort the parasites. (cont from slide 3.21)
